Qualifications

Currently, CTA offers one formal qualification: the National Professional Drivers’ Certificate. Other skills programmes that we offer include learnerships and short courses in HIV / AIDS management.

Accreditation

CTA is in the process of applying for accreditation with the Transport Education and Training Authority.

Course Costs

Course Description Cost
Comprehensive EC (Large & Heavy Driver Basic) It is a comprehensive curriculum that provides the student with the substantial knowledge and practical skills necessary to become an entry-level “Large & Heavy Truck” driver. The program consists of 150 hours of instruction (44 one-student-per-truck driving hours) conducted over 4-5 weeks. This course is suitable for students with no prior knowledge or experience in truck driving who wish to obtain a EC class license. Our most popular program!
Commercial Drivers License Essentials The program objective is to provide students with essential knowledge and practical skills necessary to be qualified as an entry-level, supervised over-the-road or in-town driver of tractor-trailers, heavy-duty trucks, dump trucks, and medium-sized delivery trucks. The CDL2150 is a program designed to provide tractor-trailer driving fundamentals to students who have minimal or no truck driving experience. The program includes classroom instruction, hands-on practical instruction, independent study, and substantial behind-the-wheel driving time on a practice range and on public roads.
